I really enjoyed this book. It brought back so many memories of my mom....I looked back on her life and know she suffered so much with depression...and they kept calling it a nervous breakdown. She went more than once to the state instution that they sent people like her to. I can remember as a kid when the doctor came to the house and they would take her away. also I remember when I got older I helped take her to Wilmar....I really didn't understand it then. I know she was a very strong woman that endured electric shock treatments and high does of tranquilizers.....she was a real survivor! I had dreams about her after I read this. I think a lot of people suffer from depression and don't even know it. But I also believe we can help ourselves by pure determination. I know my Mom did! She even got herself off of the drugs and lived life in the real world....
