Wow this book was like a puzzle. It is definitely a book that needs to be read twice to fully appreciate all the details & honestly for you to completely understand what happened. I totally loved it though. I loved the author's super descriptive writing that makes a clear picture in your mind all of the mysterious & dream-like creations & landscapes that pervade this book. I really liked Celia & Marco. Unfortunately, there were so many characters & POV's the secondary characters were hard to keep straight & therefore weren't fully fleshed out!to me. For instance in the beginning I kept getting Chandresh, Mr. A. H- & Mr. Barris mixed up. I also felt like the jumping around from year to year back& forth was tremendously confusing. Several times I had to go back a few chapters to make sure I remembered what had happened & where she left off in that year. In conclusion, I felt this book was a unique story that was beautifully visual (& would make an excellent movie, which I hear Summit has bought the rights to, so we'll see), but is like I said: like a puzzle. I will definitely put this on the "to read again" shelf.
