I LOVED this story and recommend it to all women, especially older women. This story reminds us that we ALL are valuable, even the older women. Find out how these two old women save their entire tribe!

I first read this in 1978 & dipped in again because my sister gave me its 'sequel' DR SLEEP for Xmas & I thought I might need a refresher. I was astounded by how much of it I had forgotten, largely because Kubrick's film version left so much out (& put so much in). I loved it at the time but, all these years later, it was a less compelling read. Disappointed.
