This is one of those rare books that is actually truly original. I've never read a book quite like it and expect I never well. It was a very clever exercise in writing done in a mainly amusing way. This book takes place on a fictional island off the coast of the US that goes by the name of Nollop. Nollop was the creator of the sentence, "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" (a sentence that uses every letter in the English language) and the governing citizens of Nollop worship him like a god. Unfortunately for the island of Nollop, it is run by an insane government that starts banning the use of certain letters when the letters start falling off a site dedicated to the sentence-creator Nollop. The story is told via letters written between characters (epistolary novel) and as the alphabet letters start being banned by the government, those letters start disappearing from the book. As I said, the idea is really original and it's a clever little book. It could, however, be a bit slow and tedious, especially in the beginning when all the letters were still in play. That's because the citizens of Nollop love the English language and have a tendency to be very verbose and use very long words. They also sound overly formal, and I kept forgetting that this book doesn't take place in England (I find it interesting that I read formal, wordy English as sounding like the Queen's English).

CC çok komik! Bu hikayenin çoğu için yüksek sesle gülüyordum. Berry'nin "batıl inançları" / ocd aynı zamanda esprili, üzgün ve sevimli idi. Romantizm biraz koştu, ama hırsız şef hala beni "ha ?!" Eğlenceli okuma!
