This is a preposterous book, although I have read many of her earlier books, where the main protagonist was Eve, a forensic sculptor, and she has a feisty adopted daughter, Jane. She is now the main character, an artist with a show in Paris, who seems to psychically trance and paint pictures that have actually happened. There is a dark psychic guy Caleb who can push thoughts, and there is a lot of sexual tension between them, but no action. There is some ridiculous human sacrificial secret society who worships Judas, and the coins he was paid enter in, plus the highland MacDuff and his former assassin son enter in. Eve and Joe come back. Everyone is fabulously rich and can get the CIA to do anything. I did care about Jane, a bit.
