This play was one of my favorite pieces of literature in college. It's got a modern (modern as in 1613) spin on the chorus, it's got men destroyed by the patriarchal society they perpetuate, it's got Salome, a bitch for the ages.

Loved the series so much this story is all I think about lately! I cannot wait to see the movie on March 23, 2012 at 12:01 a.m. Pass me the Raisinets! "Real or not real?"

A literary classic this book is not. But a good read none the less. As a fan of Iggy Pop, The Doors and general rock n roll mayhem I am probably biased but i found Sugerman's tale to be a whole lotta hedonistic fun. Mindless, shallow and trashy but a great waste of time with some wild tales of excess. Turn off your snobbish side and enjoy
