This book was my first manga book and I liked it. This book had action and scenes from the series. It looks like they talk word from word from the show. they draw the characters like Cell exactly the same.

I received this book through the FirstReads program--and was excited I did, as I enjoy Jeffrey Archer's other novels. It's nice to see Archer's return to a multigenerational, sprawling novel about two families whose lives are interwoven--one working class, and one upper class. The story of Harry Clifton, a promising young man, and his search to discover the truth about his parentage (his mother is quite unsure who his father is, although it appears evident to readers), is engaging and entertaining. However, I felt like it rang too similar to one of Archer's best works, "As the Crow Flies," both in the idea of an illegitimate son who doesn't know his true father, and in the intersections of the classes. Harry Clifton is no Charlie Trumper, but he's enjoyable, lovable, and easy to root for. Old Jack was a welcome new character to the fold, as were his many former comrades who aided Harry along the way. I'll definitely read the sequels to see where the story ends up going, but mostly because I do love Archer's novels and because the first ends on quite a cliffhanger.
