:) AMAZINGGGGG
** spoiler alert ** This is one of those kids books that I never read as a kid and am reading now for a children's literature class. I just finished it and I wish I would have read it years ago. This is such a great book. The whole time I was trying to figure out what they were looking for and why Stanley's story kept getting interrupted with side notes on Kate Barlow and Sam and that whole story. Maybe I should have, but I did not see the ending coming at all. This story is really all about fate. I think anybody of any age could read this book and be entertained.
A little slow to start, but got better. Stayed up way too late because I couldn't put it down.
Matched felt like a Hunger Games copycat in many ways. It takes the futuristic dystopian society in a different direction and there is no physical violence, but other than that, it feels quite similar. Nonetheless, it is well written and has an interesting romantic triangle problem. I wonder if Cassia will become one of the figureheads or leaders in the upcomming revolution. Wait until the next installment.
not as good as blue highways, but the same sort of story
Another pop-psychology take on intuition and how the mind works. Most of the research presented in this book have already been hashed my Gladwell, PInk and others. The one different spin is his focus on training your 'emotional' response with practice so thereby help increase the accuracy of your 'gut'. Not rocket science really. The writing is fun and enthusiastic. If I hadn't read any other pop-psychology book before, I'd probably find this more informative.
Inspirational, but not in a cheesy way. A simple read, but the message sticks with you. It was nice.
one of the greatest books ever written. although outdated on some aspects, still makes you think about technology
The story has a nice background but there were unbelievable events in the story. WW11. I considered this light reading. I am glad to have found the author and may try some of his previous writings.
