20 years ago my flat mate lent me this book and told me that if I could put it down after reading the first two chapters I could give it back, no questions asked! Well I read the first three books and the later two installments in no time flat! I've since read and reread these books at various times over the years and still find them to be richly told with a genuine blend of history and wonderful storytelling! These books don't really fit into a particular genre other than the are totally readable, if you lliked Sarabande's first four books in 'the first first Americans' series you'll adore these books!
