Totally charming. Six short mystery stories, with retired maid Alvirah and her retired plumber husband Willy, who won the lottery, providing companionable conversation, mild chuckles, and solutions to the crimes.
I enjoyed this book. Many have called this book a grown-up version of Twilight. The book is full of witches, vampires and demons, spells, magic and time travel. I assume there will be a sequel and look forward to reading the next one. Otherwise, I would say I wasn't that thrilled with the way it ended. I liked the genealogy/DNA aspects of the story. Very interesting to see who's connected to who and how the supernatural powers are passed down. I also LOVED the witches house!
More of the same 39 Clues shenanigans... and still as readable as ever!
