This book inspired me to do research, as I am woefully ignorant on many historical issues. Very few books have made me cry, but this was written in such a way that every person's struggle you could connect with. I typically do not care for time jumps; in this case it only added to the story. Kristin Hannah grasps female connections and relationships in a very real and touching way. A very beautiful story that made me an even bigger Kristin Hannah fan.
A confusing story but by the end of this volume it falls together. Made me want to read it a second time, I think it'll be even better.
