The Short: Was this the best book I have ever read? No. Was it a good time? Yes I have to admit I am a little on the fence with this one.... The fact that I read this in like 3 hours should attest that I had fun. I was sucked in. I wanted to be reading this. There were moments of cheese and some things were very obvious, but I still HAD A GOOD TIME. The characters were likeable, although some were a bit underdeveloped. But, this is a YA book, so with that in mind, readers who are actually Young Adults would love this (I think). I'm pretty sure the 9th grade me, would have thought this was Amazing. (for the 1% of you who haven't read this) I do reccommend it. Like I said, good times, decent story. I'm not frothing at the mouth for the next installment (I am afraid of where the suthor will take this, I hope I will not get tired of this series), but all in all a good debut novel and a great start to a series. Note: I really do think this is written for actual Young Adults, (I'm 26 and enjoyed myself, mostly though) so keep that in mind. And, I loved the seven deadly sins concept in this ;) gluttony and sloth, we might have a problem, you guys can just go chill out in the underworld right?!?!?! 3.5 stars
