J Rallison is always a fun read. I haven't read a Robin Hood fairy tale yet. Quite the adventure! Glad Chrissy isn't my fairy (although some days I have to wonder...)
I found the book interesting. I think I would have liked it more if I had read and not listened to it. (I'm not much of an audio book person.) However, it was a true story told be the person who experienced it which made it more real. I liked the foreword and epilogue by Donn Fendler. it was amazing to hear how a boy could survive for so long on his own, and what motivated him to keep going. I good book for kids 9-13. Warnings: None, unless bugs are a problem.
Oh summer reading.
Imitación de un bestiario medieval, pero centrado en la obra de Tolkien y sus criaturas. Interesante para los aficionados a Tolkien.
Some of the genealogy sections are tedious, but on the whole this is a gripping history of Boston in the 1970s, with great profiles of School Board Chairwoman Louise Day Hicks, Mayor Kevin White, and Archbishop Madeiros, in addition to the three families mentioned in the title. I learned more about the city reading this book than I have from four years of living here.
