This book was good. Not outstanding, not great, just good. The story line wasn't the strongest but it worked for this book. Where was this story going? It was going the same place these people were going; somewhere and nowhere at the same time. There were bouts of action sprinkled throughout, but most of it was bleak and lonesome. It did a good job of conveying the loneliness. And the cold. When they curled up in their 'nest' at one point in the abandoned house, I could have almost been there with them. Honestly, I read this because I want to see the movie and needed to read the book before I could do that. We'll see how the movie stacks up. Either way, this book was short, so no loss.
