I liked this book. Flavia is a great character, and it was fun to see the story through her 11-year old eyes. She's an awesome combination of little girl and smart scientist. The narrator did a great job capturing Flavia's personality on audio, as well. I didn't as much enjoy how the backstory came out- it felt clunky to me, and took away from the flow of the story. Though I'm not sure how else Flavia would have found it all out otherwise. I hear there is another book in this series, and I'm looking forward to Flavia's next adventure!

I had to read this for a class. Not one of my favorites.
