A brilliantly crafted world--Card has truly put thought into the multiple aspects and motivations of the world he creates. He gives attention to politics, religion, cultural mores. Unlike other books that put children at the center of their narrative, I found Ender believable, and the reasons for his situation plausible. From beginning to end, the book remains consistent and is ultimately satisfying in its challenges and narrative.

This had some hilarious moments, but not enough plot to keep me interested in the audio version. Libba Bray is a funny narrator, especially when she's doing the voice of Miss Texas. Like "Going Bovine," this book is very unusual, with some excellent satire and sophisticated humor. The actual storyline of the The Corporation/secret agent/Cha Cha was just picking up in disc four. I might try the book later. Teens and adults who liked "Going Bovine" or who watch "Toddlers and Tiaras" should like this too.
