This series is terrible. Everyone loves this "gritty" fantasy but me, it seems, and I can't convince them otherwise. There's not a whole lot of real story going on, and all the characters you sympathize with either die or have some "terrible secret" revealed that makes you lose all interest. Definitely read if you have time to spare on this rambling epic that is in dire need of some good editing.
