This is one of my favorite historical fictions -- peasant women falls in love with the fabulously wealthy (and powerful) Duke of Lancaster. Much of the story is actually true and Seton does a fantastic job of using the historical backdrop to propel the story forward. The plot is great, and let's face it, we can't always say that about romantic historical fictions!
