I won this copy thru Library Thing and this is the first book I have read by this author. I really liked this book it is one of the few Urban Fiction that I have read. The characters were complex and I loved the plot twists in this book. At times the book was very explicit and made me kind of blush. I would have given it a lot more stars but a detail in the book through me for a loop. I know this is an urban book, but one of the main characters was trying to get people to vote for Obama. To me, I did not understand why this was in the book and how it applied to the central story. Its underlying message was vote for him because he is black and I think this is very ignorant to vote for somebody only on appearances and not for what they stand. I think that the book would have been a lot better without all of that in there.
