In the throes of parenting adolescents, this story provided comic relief, even as I gratefully realized: as refreshing as it is to have a break from parenting now and again, I had no desire to totally leave those beloved boys of mine!

Although I hate to read abridged books(and wonder what Dawkins might have taken out), it was good to read this "classic". I love the quote on the back of the CD case by Thomas Henry Huxley in 1859, "How extremely stupid of me not to have though of that." And it is hard to think about science before this development in thinking. I had to quiz Neil on the historical context and would love to read more about Darwin's scientific time period.
