I really enjoyed this book. It was a library book, so it was a lot to take in over 7 days, but it would make an excellent reference book to keep on the shelf. Having said that, 4HB tackles soo many subjects and frankly, I don't really intend to follow the strict guidelines of any of them. And that's the thing, to rapidly lower bodyfat, or gain 10s of pounds of muscle, or train for a 30-mile race in a month, you have to be vigilant in a way that I don't care to be. His action plans aren't difficult - they're actually amazingly simple - but they are very precise (i.e. instructions are more specific than "cut down on carbs"). I believe him though. I believe that if you want to "lose 20 pounds in 30 days without exercise," or get six-pack abs with a minimum of effort, or "build the perfect posterior", you can do so by following his plan. His methodologies are consistent with other items I've read - the Zone Diet and, to some degree, the CrossFit training plan (among others). And I don't remember any occasions he failed to back up his thinking with resources. So, if you are really committed to accomplishing the things he suggests, this book can help you do so. Update: I forgot to mention that while I'm probably not going to attempt any of the big goals in the book, it offered a lot of valuable tidbits on health in general, and one of his tips has already helped me sleep better (though, scientifically speaking, it's still too early to tell).
