I was lucky enough to score an "Advanced Reader's" copy of this book through a friend. It was a great read. Fans of the fantasy genre will recognize the influences of some of the greats; Tolkien, Jordan, Brooks. Fans will also enjoy where the author jumps off from these influences to create a fully realized world of his own with a complex, interesting and unique mythology. This is a densly (but well) written, thought provoking book. The author definitely exceeds in the areas of characterization and action sequences. All in all an enjoyable reading experience. I look forward to the next book(s) in the series and watching the author mature along the way.

This book was very peaceful, and I especially liked the parts on dealing with conflict. It's a great book to review when you are feeling shitty or out of control in your life.
