Food and companionship...it doesn't get much better than that, so you can't go wrong with this book. The descriptions of food are a carnal temptation, the companionship is enviable. However, I could not read this in one sitting. It is a book for savage moments when you need some temptation and fulfillment. It is overly romanticized for a read through. If I had not taken long breaks from the book, I would be saying, "too many adjectives!!!"...read this like you would savor a good bottle of wine...in sips and starts.
