An American Miss Marple. I found this amusing and engaging, and will be seeking more by the same author.

This book was so amazing. I would put it down to try and go to sleep then just think what was going to happen next until I picked it up and would start reading it again. I did this until I finished the book. Quigley's confusion and the "help" from her friend makes a great story.

I found this on Amazon and thought it would be great, as I'm addicted to the Food Network. However, the book is divided into two parts and switches off fairly frequently between a biography of Mario Batali and Buford's own experiences. The Batali parts were so painful to read that it overshadowed the entire book and I ended up returning it to the library without even finishing it.

love the character's voice, the idea, the mood.. i really like it so far
