The cover touts this book as a cross between Harry Potter, Shel Silverstein and Douglas Adams. It is an imaginative story of the life of a blue bear on fictional continent, Zamonia. The book is seven hundred pages of seeing how much trouble this bear can get into... and then escape from. It would be perfect for an 8-10 year old boy. Illustrated throughout, the bear meets many amazing an imaginative characters in his journeys including the mini-pirates pictured on the cover. Friends and foe are equally developed as characters and enjoyable to read. It was a good summer break, but certainly not as loved as those authors listed on the cover.
