I think I like this book so much not because it's really good (which it is) but because it was the first book I read in school that blew my mind. I somehow felt like all the other books I had read were specifically written to torture school children with their boring-ness. "The Great Gatsby" was interesting and layered and fun to discuss and it reminds me of that eye-opening discovery of literature.
