I am continually amazed by the way Gabaldon writes. It can be very disconcerting to have perspectives change so quickly and abruptly but in her books it all ties together really well. I was planning to re-read the entire series before getting started with this book but that didn't happen. Therefore in places it was a bit hard to remember all the names of all the secondary and tertiary characters and what happened when etc. It all came back fairly quickly though. Like some other commenters here I found the William and Lord John chapters somewhat boring in the beginning but towards the end the whole thing came together in a humongous quadruple cliffhanger. Looking forward to installation #8!
Not one of my favorites. Did not like how Bosch and ex-FBI Profiler McCabe work together.
