I just bought this on Friday after seeing the reviews on Goodreads...I'm excited to start it.

war and injustice parallels aside, this is a book that made me think about another time period in a different way. so funny. also, i am in love with yossarian.

This is the book Diamond of Darkhold which is the fourth and final book of the City of Ember series and a sequel to the People of Sparks. In this book Lina and Doon try and help the town of Sparks. The town of Sparks is running low on supplies during the harsh winters. So Lina and Doon travel to their old city of ember to look for any supplies. Before they leave a traveling tradeswoman comes and has the worst items the town has seen. Lina spots a special book she wants and finds out this was a message to the People of Ember. Even though they had the book it only contained a few pages because the woman used it for fire starter. So once again Lina and Doon have to figure out what was the message that was meant for them. They think it is located in the city of Ember so they plan to look for this item as well. When they get there they see a bright light from the cave entrance above so they go down to investigate. They go down and find a evil man and his family that capture Doon. So Lina runs away and tries to go get help. What will happen? You’ll have to read to find out.
