Incredibly well-written. There's a ridiculous amount of detail, but it never gets bogged down. I don't generally read non-fiction terribly quickly, but I got through this in two weeks of reading on my lunch break only. Also, Sufjan Steven's song Come on! Feel the Illinoise! makes a lot more sense now.
