I thought this was okay. I read it while I was in Ireland, and it seemed as if everyone had a copy. The bookstores on High Street were really pushing it. It's funny, the wife is hugely unlikable, though it's the husband who's at fault. I thought the author handled that one well. I also liked the grandfather. He was great. The writing felt a little too paired down, summary-ish. Verdict: cute, but pretty unsurprising.
Not something I would chose to read on my own which is why I LOVE book clubs! They always get me to read good books that I wouldn't normally pick out. I liked the story (even though I'm not a huge fan of 'LDS Romance' novels) and even though there was quite a few times where I wondered when it would ever end I'm still giving this a 4 star just because it was good, CLEAN, and fun.
