The Diviners was an interesting book. I wasn't for sure what to expect. The story had a lot of promise and I did like how it progressed. As for character development, some I liked and others fell short. Evie's flapper talk was overdone and toward the end was getting repetitive for me. Evie's best friend, Mabel, I felt really didn't add any depth to the plot. I did enjoy Jericho, Theta, and Henry's characters. Overall, I did like the book and will definitely pick up the second book.
