The beginning was slow, the middle was some of the best suspense I've had in awhile, but the ending leading to the next novel was meh. I'll read the next one because Mead is a great writer, but the setup seems too unbelievable. I really did like the book, but I'm kind of over Dimitri now; I think Adrian would be a better match. With the emotional rollercoaster of this book I let him go, so at the end it's hard to see why Rose would continue pursuing him.
