I learned almost everything from this book. What can I say? This is a MUST READ!

This is about the only Rushdie I can stand, apart perhaps from Shame. Doesn't make up for some of his catalog (Ground Beneath my ass, for instance), but it's still a great one!

Amazing read. It is a very powerful journey through the political jungle of modern turkey. I learned so much about turkey through this book too that i was eager to learn more about the country and it's peoples. the author won a nobel prize for literature for this book.

Just be warned, this book is a tearjerker at the end. Good read that I couldn't wait to get through. IT was one of those books that I hated putting down.
