This is the book that got me hooked on L'Engle. She is insightful, creative, and knows how to craft a really moving novel. Her books inspired me to be the writer that I want to be. Read them all.

Cute book, but the story gets a little lost. It is ultimately not a complete story but more of a day in the path towards self discovery. Fun, easy reading antics included, but very little explanation of the magic or magical world. I think the author needed to work out a little more clearly whether the witchcraft was really a part of her story and integrate it more.
