Another excellent sci-fi novel, a classic in its genre (when the genre was more about examining current-day issues and philosophy and less about laser blasters and space babes) that is well worth the read. It is definitely understandable why someone wanted to make a movie about it - the setting and characters and quandry are excellent for a film - and also why they changed a lot of the story and adapted instead of basing it on the book - a lot of things in the story that don't translate well to the screen. If you like Blade Runner, then read this - it's worth your time. Deckard was a human, not a replicant.
