A psychedelic prologue to what someone promises me will be a wortwhile series. Intriguing in its roots ("Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came"), but disjointed, and the characters walk around with heavy, unspecified pasts in a world that's vaguely post-apocalyptic.

The pace was strange. It seemed like as soon as it got started, it was over. The beginning was slow. The plot didn't seem all that inspired.
