** spoiler alert ** I was enjoying this book even while realizing that it was pretty much just shark adventure fluff until very near the end. The whole thing is kind of ridiculous but I expected that when I picked it up and was looking forward to a light entertaining read. And it was for the most part, BUT, there is a scene very near the end where the protagonist ends up swallowed alive and whole and unscathed and moves his way around in the belly of the shark to try to force his way physically out of the beast. At that point I could bear it no longer. This went from stupid fun to just plain stupid. That one scene was just way too far over the edge of dumb and threw me out of the story so far that I couldn't be bothered to jump back in and finish the story. I was severely disappointed by the authors choice to just throw in something so completely inane. Other readers may be able to deal with the silliness but it was just too much for me to forgive.
