I bought this at a book shop in Ashland, Oregon during a Thanksgiving trip there with my parents. I picked it because I liked the cover and what a fortunate pick...this book and I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings helped welcome me to my transition from girl to woman as I finished high school and left home for college.

Didn't love it the way I loved The Secret Life of Bees, but still good. The protaganist is a middle-aged woman cheating on her wonderful husband. My Mom says I just couldn't relate. She loved it.
