I lived with Ishmael Reed in an artist colony. He's a very cool man, but kind of scared the hell out of me. His knowledge of jazz was pretty freaking impressive. The book was wild, funny, and fiercely written. I had fun with it.

Pieces of Georgia was a great book! I liked how it explained her life and everything she was going through, but she was still happy and bubbly.
