This science fiction book is set in a future where the polar ice caps have melted and flooded much of the world. Nailer is a teenage boy making a living by scavenging metal from old shipwrecks. The world has two classes, rich (swanks) and poor. Nailer makes a life-changing decision after a hurricane hits his beach. He finds out the true meaning of family and friendship in an action packed adventure.

#thatawkwardmoment When you bring this book into your barber shop and realize this book is about the life they are most likely living. This book obviously is not meant to entertain but rather to inform. This made me even more aware of the importance of education, and recieving everything I need to get a good job. For its purpose this book did a fine job.
