Probably my favourite of Dick's works I have read thus far. It is at times bizarre and quirky yet the character are extremely fascinating and complex. I can not in all my honesty say that I understood every aspect of this book, much of it indeed still remains incomprehensible to me but this could actually be the charm of this book for me. I will be haunted by the three stigmata of Mr Palmer Eldritch - the mechanical eyes, the artificial hand and the metal teeth - for a while now.
