I loved this book. I'm sure my background and interest in all things Asia helped tremendously, but it really was a heartwrenching story that chronicled how Asian Americans were viewed during this difficult period of time. The conflict between father and son, despite and perhaps because of, a similar conflict subjects own father was particularly interesting.
