An interesting book told from the perspective of a 10-12 year old Brooklyn boy after WWII. The book deals with all types of prejudices and injustices including racial bigotry and anti-semiticism. Interesting cultural perspective as this Irish Catholic boy becomes friends with a Czeck Rabbi. This is not a light hearted book. Its ending was not entirely satisfying for me.
