Impeccably written. Engaging and clever and never didactic or annoying. This is a beautiful book. Read it as you drive across America. Read it if you're from somewhere hateful and dear and flat. I've now read it twice in one week, once aloud and it only got better. The best book I have read in a very long time.
Imagine the semi-abstract concept of television personfified as sentient being. Now imagine having a conversation with said entity via lucille ball.
In this one we have a resolution of two ongoing stories throughout the novels. Delores' suitor and the will they, won't they propose little drama. The mystery is interesting and Fluke's sure cranked up the tension and the difference between Mike and Norman. I'm still in Norman's corner, cheering him on. I'm taking a break of this series. The new novel is coming out at the end of February and the last one in paperback is coming out late January.
