Film okuduğu Mel Brooks'la ilgili tek kitap olduğu için bunu okuyorum. Bu yazarın yazma stilinden tamamen memnun değilim, ancak Brooks bir otobiyografi yazana kadar, bu yapabileceğiniz en iyi şey.

Anne dizisini okuduğumdan beri bir süre oldu. Ama KBYU TV'de bu kadar çok kez koştuktan sonra tekrar başlamanın zamanı geldiğini düşündüm. Büyürken Anne'nin yanlış maceralarını tekrar okumak oldukça keyifliydi. Kitabın kendi değeri için tadını çıkarmak ve filmle karşılaştırmamak da güzeldi.

I liked how the book starts off, it just goes right into the story. Sometimes I wish more would happen, lacked substance or maybe stronger characters. I wish I felt more tension and some more details about the two courts. Hard to put it into words... I just wanted more! It's an okay read.

"...the world is a bigger place than a little graveyard on a hill; and there would be dangers in it and mysteries, new friends to make, old friends to rediscover, mistakes to be made and many paths to be walked before he would, finally, return to the graveyard or ride with the Lady on the broad back of her great grey stallion. But between now and then, there was life; and Bod walked into it with his eyes and his heart wide open."

Short stories set in the American west, reminds me of Cormac McCarthy but certainly not as bleak.
