Loved this book. Jeannette Walls really gives a voice to her characters- in this case her amazing Grandmother (its basically a true-story though some facts couldn't be substantiated so technically its a novel). I'd also recommend her non-fiction The Glass Castle which is about her life. Highly recommend both.

This book was very difficult to get into. It had a lot of characters to keep track of, and each chapter was written from a different character's perspective. It also jumped around a bit and didn't flow in chronological order. By the time I finally got used to the pace of the book, I had reached the end. I'm just glad that I received a free copy from the publisher and didn't buy it myself.
