Many people feel this is the weakest book in the series, but putting aside the slow pacing, I think that this book should count as one of the best. This book offers a realistic portrayal of teen angst, which seems to be a constant for all people, magical or no.

I love Jan Thomas, especially for preschool storytime. Her illustrations are bold and colorful and her stories are short and sweet, but always funny. Will be trying this out with as a storytime soon.
