Let me start off by saying how excited I was to read Jess Brady's story. Kenyon has mentioned him several times through out the years it was nice to finally read his. Next, I was really shocked by the review's I read about this book. Several fans were disappointed by the change in mythology. Personally I thought it was a nice change of pace. I don't know anything about Native American Heritage and I like the fact that Kenyon decided to research her mixed heritage and tweak it into her Dark Hunter Series. Some of the previous books before this didn't have much of a new story line, it was as if she was just recycling the same story and changing names. This book wasn't like that. There was a little more substance to it. The cowboy outlaw is a fun character that hasn't been used a lot in a modern setting. This story was a fast read full of adventure, romance, loyalty, mythology, and supernatural fun. It beautifully weaves in old well missed characters, with new inspiring characters. As well as weaving the Dark Hunter legend with the new Native American Heritage that will set up the audience for the next book. In other word's thank Sherrilyn Kenyon for your work and research. I really enjoyed Jess and Abby's story!!
