So far, so good. I am near the end. "Cesar's Way" is a quick read on Cesar Millan, The Dog Whisperer's, philosophy of dog behavior rehabilitation and people training. I am enjoying his perspective as a person who grew up outside of the American culture and who has now worked nearly 20 years in the dog rehabilitation and training business in the U.S. A few other dog trainers are critical of Millan's approach and call him a charlatan and that his "dominance" training is off. I respond by saying that Mr. Millan was raised in Mexico and builds the case, in the book, that his whole approach is due to his upbringing on a farm in Mexico and he realizes that the Mexican machismo culture has influenced him even though he takes steps to counteract that now. If you filter through the mild cultural divide and all the celebrity name dropping (hello, that could have been left out), this is a solid book with good tips on how to work with your dog.
