De itibaren San Martin de Tor
My first experience with The Dresden Files was through the television show on the Sci-Fi network. I really enjoyed the first season and thought I ought to at least read the books, since I got to meet Jim Butcher at a conference last month. I was surprised honestly at just how different the book was from the series. Obviously, there will be changes, because there always are, but I was still surprised. I found the first-person narrative somewhat distracting (as I often do) and at times felt like the plot wandered in odd directions. I was able to see the plot twist coming for awhile, but Butcher handled it well. Overall, this was a good first book effort, and I'm going to eventually read the others in the series after giving myself a break from the urban fantasy (which isn't my favorite).
